DAY 1: ETANG DE THAU



Your adventure begins in the lively town of Sète, where you’ll explore the morning market, sample cheeses, and discover the flavors of the local fish soup. A scenic walk to the top of the hill offers panoramic views over the town and sea. For lunch, enjoy fresh seafood at La Pallourdière in Bouzigues, overlooking the famous oyster tables. In the afternoon, embark on a Wine & Oyster cruise across the Etang de Thau with ex-sommelier Amber, who will guide you through the region’s best wines and explain the secrets of oyster farming. The day concludes with a cocktail tasting at Noilly Prat in Marseillan, home of the world-famous vermouth.

DAY 2: SALAGOU & GUILHEM



Experience the dramatic landscapes of the Cirque de Mourèze, where tall limestone 'phalices' create a surreal walking experience. Lunch at Mas Riri, with stunning views over Lake Salagou with its red Martian landscapes. We then head off to visit the charming medieval village of St Guilhem le Désert and it's 9th century Romanesque church. Depending on the weather, you can either cool off with a swim at the gorgeous Pont du Diable beach or explore the fascinating underground world of the Grotte de Clamouse caves.  exploration, and relaxation.

DAY 3: SALT & GOD



Begin your day with a walk around the pink salt lagoons of Gruissan, observing the unique wildlife and shimmering landscapes. Your guide Joel will explain how some of France's most coveted salt is farmed here. Enjoy lunch in Gruissan before heading to the stunning 11th-century Abbaye de Fontfroide (one of the most beautiful in all of Europe), where soaring Gothic architecture, peaceful cloisters, and their famous rose gardens offer a glimpse into monastic life and centuries of history. 

DAY 4: TO ANCIENT ROME



Dive into the Roman history of Nîmes, starting with the stunning new Roman Museum and the iconic Arena, the best-preserved Roman amphitheater in Europe. Lunch in Nîmes provides a chance to sample regional cuisine before visiting the Maison Carrée, an exquisitely preserved Roman temple. The retreat concludes with a visit to the magnificent Pont du Gard, a UNESCO World Heritage aqueduct that displays the Romans' engineering brilliance.
